2025 Analytical Report and Key Outcomes of the Support Project for Veterans and IDPs in Ukraine

Development of Veteran-Owned Businesses: Presentation of the Analytical Report and Key Outcomes of the Support Project for Veterans and IDPs in Ukraine

An analytical report on veteran-owned businesses in Ukraine was presented as part of our Project to support young veterans and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Ukraine.

One of the final stages of the Project was the presentation of the analytical report, "Development of Veteran-Owned Businesses," created by experts throughout the implementation of the Project, collaboration with participants, and several meetings with veterans in various regions. The presentation was held in an open discussion format, featuring Members of the Parliament of Ukraine, representatives of veteran organizations, and veterans themselves.

Oleksandra Shchukina, head of "Smart Media" and partner of the Project, noted:

"In addition to working with veterans within the Project, we also held several meetings with veterans across various regions of Ukraine. Through communication with the veteran community, local authorities, and studying legislative developments, we created an analytical report addressing the issues faced by veteran-owned businesses."

The document was developed by the Project team in collaboration with Dr. Anatoliy Kruglashov, a professor, Doctor of Political Science, Head of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, and Director of the Research Institute of European Integration and Regional Studies at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.

Member of Parliament Taras Tarasenko, one of the co-authors of the legislative draft on veteran-owned businesses, emphasized the importance of open discussions and considering the opinions of veterans.

Oksana Alekseeva, head of the NGO "Time of Action" and leader of the unofficial patronage service of the Naval Forces of Ukraine, stressed the importance of involving veterans in all legislative initiatives that directly affect them.

The Project team continues to work towards ensuring that all initiatives developed during the Project receive support and further development.

Additionally, several press conferences were held to summarize the Project's results and present the analytical report.

The event is part of the Support Project for Young Veterans and IDPs in Ukraine, implemented by the consortium members: NGO "Chas Dii," NGO "Smart Media," NGO "Ukrainian Veterans," and NGO "SOS Ukraine," funded by the European Union and carried out in Ukraine. The content of this Project is the sole responsibility of "Chas Dii" and its partners and does not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union.
